About the meeting . . .

We meet every Thursday morning.
The official meeting time is 6.45am-8.30am although the recommended arrival time is 6.30am (parking gets difficult later)!
You can park in either of the hotel's car parks on Parchment Street and St. Peter's Street. If the parking spots are full, you can double park. Just remember to leave your keys with reception and let them know in which car park you've parked. You will also need to get a (free) parking permit from reception.

Most members arrive early for open networking and a first tea, coffee or orange juice.

Breakfast and the formal part of the meeting start at 7 am. and normally finish between 08.30 and 09.00, which is a good time to arrange to meet people to follow up on anything you have heard during the meeting.

Format of the meeting:
1. The Chapter Director welcomes everyone.
2. Various committee members introduce themselves and explain what they do.
3. Four-minute business education brief.
4. 60-second presentations -  This is an opportunity to introduce yourself and your business. All members present their 60-seconds first. The Chapter Director will then call on members to introduce their visitors to give their 60-second presentations.
(Tips for 60 seconds - You should include your name and the name of your business, what your company does and what sort of business you are looking for. If you have short story (e.g. how a client benefited from your products/services for example) and a catch phrase or memory hook to close on, everyone will remember you.)
5. A 10 minute presentation where one member presents their business. We do not have this on a Visitors' Day.
6. Referrals – this is the part of the meeting where members and visitors can pass opportunities for business to each other.  If you have heard something during the meeting that you are interested in – or that you know that one of your friends or colleagues needs – then please fill in a referral slip.  How to do this will be explained during the meeting.
7. The meeting closes with announcements and a thought for the day.

If you can, bring at least 30 business cards (50 on a Visitors' Day) with you. Business cards from all visitors are passed round.
Members and other visitors will want to take one and you will have the opportunity to take one of theirs too.
